Amy Ouradnik

Amy Ouradnik is a Minneapolis based artist, gilder and designer. After receiving her BFA in Printmaking from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, she traveled extensively in Europe and India studying the decorative arts. In 2002, she founded Aurora Decorative Finishes LLC, a decorative painting company catering to both residential and commercial interiors around the nation.

Ouradnik’s recent exploration into eco-printing began during artistic jam sessions with her mother and daughter. Their mutual interest in plant dye, botanical drawing, encaustics, tie dye, bookmaking and other works of art has opened an exhilarating path for her innovative use of materials.

Her inspiration comes from her garden, family and friends, traveling, ornamental art, patterns in nature, and natural materials such as metal patinas, gold leaf, and natural stone and pigments.

Ouradnik is a proud member of the Society of Gilders and an allied member of American Society of Interior Design.
